Number of people involved: 2
Advertising: Community Service Volunteers (CSV) work with the communications agency, Catalyst. Catalyst advises them on their advertising strategy and the style, design and content of the ads. CSV have placed adverts in regional newspapers (such as London's Metro), magazines (such as The Big Issue) and National newspaper's job supplements (such as The Guardian). The advert content is tailored to each area/ publication. Over the last 12 months CSV's in-house press office have secured more than 200 pieces of free editorial coverage (in print and broadcast media) to compliment their advert campaign.
Outside agencies involved: Catalyst
Results: CSV record each week the number of volunteers they've successfully recruited. They have in place a tracking system; they ask all those who get in touch with them for the reference number which appears on the recruitment advert they've seen. CSV also ask those who contact them a series of questions so that they can monitor how people heard about their volunteering opportunities and why they responded.
